- He has gotten a lot better and faster at crawling since he learned last month. He is a speedy little guy.
- He loves to climb up on anything he can. We had to lower his crib to the lowest setting and take off the bumpers because he was trying to put his feet on them to climb.
- He will share his snacks with Dan and me. He will hold them to our mouth for a few seconds and then put it in his own mouth. So I guess he doesn't completely understand the concept of sharing!
- He played in the snow for the first time! Dan helped him make a tiny snow angel. He sort of just put up with it and then started crying.
- He went to his first Utah Jazz basketball game! He loved watching everything around us and he was able to stay the whole time until the end when the big guys behind us started yelling a ton (but to be fair, it was an intense game at the end, and we won!!).
- He traveled to Colorado and Idaho, and we also drove down to Provo for an hour to visit BYU and get pizza from our favorite pizza place. So now he has been to BYU!
- He learned his first word, "dada," and he says it a lot around Dan.
- He learned his second word, "quack," and yes, he really does say it. He doesn't get the "qu" sound but you can tell he is trying because he does this cute little thing in his throat. Thanks to my mom for teaching him that one.
- His third word was "mama!" Finally! He says it when he wants me to pick him up or when I am not giving him enough attention while in the kitchen haha.
- He can open cupboards. So now we have to babyproof.
- He is SUPER funny and goofy and always makes us laugh. He is such a funny boy, and he loves smiling and having fun. The other day he was sitting in his crib with both legs sticking out between the bars just giggling and making us laugh.
- He likes to "play" the piano.
- He had his first Cafe Rio! He got a tiny baby cheese quesadilla. He also had his first kid's meal from Ikea.
- He had his first Christmas! He got to sit on Santa's lap in Iowa, and then he opened presents (aka, we opened his presents) in Iowa, Idaho, and then Colorado. I thought he would enjoy ripping the paper more than he did. He sort of just wanted to go do other things. Next year he will like it better!
