Yesterday in my food class I made an apple pie! It is so good!!! It turned out beautiful and the crust was perfectly flaky and delicious. I am very proud of it :)
I also have finally perfected my pizza crust recipe. Dan likes it so much that he said we shouldn't even go out and buy pizza anymore!
Hooray for baking adventures!!!

delicious food and giving thanks.
Recently I have been cooking up a lot of delicious foods. AND I LOVE IT. Here are some lovely examples:

Raspberry Jello Poke Cake

Manicotti

Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Tortellini Tomato Soup
Anyway, things have been going wonderfully. We have three and a half weeks of school left, and then a week after finals, we are moving to a new apartment. I'm pretty excited because it's bigger, cheaper, doesn't mold, and it has a balcony (can you say garden!?). Anyway, we're going to the temple tonight and I'm excited because we haven't been for over a month. We've been really blessed lately because we sold our car, got our tax refund, and I'm going to do a peanut allergy study where I can make up to $1,200 if I do the whole study. Anyway, we need to go to the temple and show our thanks to the Lord. It's going to be a good weekend.

hilarious.
Today the funniest thing happened. So I went to go pick Becca up from school because she wasn't feeling well and had missed her bus. So I drove up to where she told me to go and I sat there and waited for her. She called me and I told her where I was and she said she was on her way and hung up. I'm sitting in my car looking for her to come around the JKB and I see a girl in a BYU hoodie, kind of like one that she has, get into a white car on the other side of the road. It was dark, so I figured I probably hadn't seen her that well, since it clearly couldn't be Becca because she had gotten into another car. Several seconds later, the girl gets out of the car, looks in my direction, and hurries over to my car. I started laughing my head off and realized what my poor little sister had done. Becca looked very embarrassed as she got into my car and immediately bent over and told me to "DRIVE!" When she told me what had happened, we both started laughing so hard, we got all teary. Apparently, Becca had gotten into the car, which was only similar to mine in that it was white, and commented on the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the interior. After sitting down and shutting the door, she looked across at the person whose car she had just entered and, upon realizing that it was not me, she apologized, said goodnight, and got out of the car, only to scramble over to my car and hide out of sight. The best part about this whole thing was that I saw it happen. It was seriously the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I will be laughing about this for years.

hiatus.
Wow, I haven't written in like nine days. Weird. Well, I've been busy. I now work at BYU for Chuck again. Essentially, I clean things that need cleaning and organize the supply closets. It's nice because I can do whatever I want. And I get $9.00. Not bad!
Classes are finally over and now we're preparing for finals for next week. Poor Dan has five finals, and a midterm. He's been studying every waking minute. I know he'll do well.
I don't have much to say right now. Fail.

salt lake city.
Dan and I went down to Salt Lake last night. He had a physics test to take (which he dominated!) and so I went down with him. After he was done, we had a nice dinner together at the Gateway Mall and then we walked over to Temple Square. They had all of their Christmas lights up, and I've never been to see them. It was beautiful! I took some pictures, because it was absolutely gorgeous. And the temple was all lit up and was so pretty.
We got to talk around inside the gate of the temple. I've never been that close to it before, and I even got to touch it. It's so big, and it's amazing that the pioneers built it years ago. How they got it that tall and magnificent I have no idea, but I am so grateful they did. I know I have ancestors who helped work on it, and I was so happy while we were down there. Dan and I decided we have to go do an endowment session some time there. Neither of us have seen a live session, and while he has been inside, I have not. It was just such a beautiful night and I was so grateful for my sweet husband and all that he does for me. I am so blessed, and I can't imagine life without him. I feel so blessed to live in Utah where we have access to so many temples. I know when we move for medical school we probably will be a ways away from a temple, so we're going to have to make an extra effort to go. Anyway, I felt the Spirit last night while we were walking around, despite all the youth groups that were shouting and running around. I'm so in the Christmas mood this year. I can't wait until school is done and we get to go to Colorado! Yay holidays!

Thanksgiving has come and gone.
Last week we went up to Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving. The day we were going to leave, it was supposed to storm like crazy and be the biggest blizzard we've had in years. So we decided to head off early so we would have a mostly clear drive, and then if we had to stop we had blankets and water and food in the car. We made it up to about Logan and then the storm hit.
It was so crazy! We went about 20 mph for about half of the drive. Normally, from Provo to IF it takes about 3 hours and 45 minutes. This time, it took us about six hours. It was insane! Dan drove the whole way there, and Becca and I said prayers and helped him to watch for, well, the road. When we got to Pocatello, it got a little bit better. We actually saw the sun, and were going almost 50 mph! However, we got to Blackfoot and it was back to 20 mph. The road was solid ice, and it was dark and snowing, so it was pretty scary. But we did make it safely to Idaho Falls and we had a great Thanksgiving.
On Thanksgiving Day, we had two dinners. We went to Dan's uncle's house at eleven and had a dinner with his mom's side of the family. We got to play with Aunt Debra's baby twins who are about six months old right now. They were so adorable and Dan and I had a very good time. When we left, we went to Dan's dad's house and we had another dinner at six! So much good food. My parents and sister also came for the second dinner, so it was nice because we got to spend time with all our family. We were very full by the end of the night, but it was a very good day.
Friday I got up at six and met my family at seven at Target for some Black Friday shopping. I've never gotten up early to do the shopping thing. We usually always just go to the Teton Mall around eleven, and it always sucks. But we woke up early and I got some sweet deals at Target, Kohl's, and Old Navy. And I got my favorite lotion, stuff for our apartment that I've been wanting, and a super cute $40 sweater for $15. DEALS! It was awesome.
We drove back on Saturday. I drove half of the way, and it was clear roads and sunny skies (once the sun actually rose, we left at six-thirty). We got to see a lovely sunrise on our way home, and it was a nice drive home with Dan and Becca, even though she slept most of the way.
When I got home Saturday I did a bunch of errands. Today, I cleaned our apartment, and I feel very accomplished because everything that I really needed to get done is done and our apartment is festive and has a mini Christmas tree, and I am just happy.
In Relief Society yesterday our lesson was on President Uchtdorf's talk "Of Things That Matter Most." It was a really good lesson, especially because the week before Dan and I had done home teaching and I had done my visiting teaching on the same talk! It was nice listening to the way someone else taught it. She had us write down the four key relationships in our lives that Uchtdorf discusses. Then we wrote goals to improve each relationship. I really thought hard about mine, and I want to write them on here so I can always have them to remember.
I am very excited about these goals. I'm going to really try to work on them and do my best to reach them. I've decided they're kind of like my New Year's resolutions, but I am making them and starting them now. I'm excited to see where they take me and how these things will change my life.

1. Heavenly Father
-Study the scriptures daily.
2. Family
-Talk to my parents at least every other day
-Devote more time to making things
better and easier for Dan so he doesn't stress.
3. Fellow Men
-Perform one act of service
every week and write about it.
4. Ourselves
-Take care of myself physically,
spiritually, and emotionally.
